NBA prospect Andrej Stojakovic committed to Illinois, the player announced on social media. The 20-year-old wing was a coveted recruit before his decision to continue with the Fighting Illini.
On April 27, Stojakovic said that he wouldn’t return to California and the Golden Bears, opting to enter the transfer portal. Apart from Illinois, he was also pursued by North Carolna and Stanford, the team with which he spent his freshman year in 2023-24.
This season, Stojakovic averaged 17.9 points and 4.7 rebounds. He had 33.0 points in the two ACC games.
Andrej Stojakovic is the son of former NBA champion ana three-time All-Star Pejan Stojakovic. He holds both Greek and Serbian citizenship from the side of his mother and father respectively and is eligible to play for either national teams.
