Kansas State emerged as the most notable college interested in picking up Andrej Kostic from Crvena Zvezda Meridianbet.

Recent rumors surrounding the 18-year-old winger were reported by Serbian outlet meridian Sport on Tuesday.

The promising upstart has yet to decide on launching a college career, but the Wildcats can become his next stop, following limited opportunities with Zvezda.

Making noise with the national team of Serbia at the junior level, Kostic was among the key players helping his country capture silver in the FIBA U18 EuroBasket 2024, following a smaller role for a gold medal in the FIBA U18 European Championship 2023.

Over seven appearances in Tampere, Finland, last summer, the youngster tallied 12.0 points, 2.6 rebounds, 1.3 assists, 0.9 steals, and 0.4 blocks per contest, after 1.5 points per game over four appearances in Nis, Serbia. On to Lausanne, Switzerland, between June 28 and July 6, he is projected among the leaders of the national team for the FIBA U19 World Cup 2025.

With Zvezda at the club level, the youth product of the team based in Belgrade debuted with the senior squad midway through the 2023-24 campaign. His experience went from the Radivoj Korac Cup 2024 to four games played in the 2024-25 Regular Season of the AdmiralBet ABA League and 2.3 points per contest.

Earlier junior club experience featured the 2023 Kaunas Finals and 2024 Belgrade tournament of the Euroleague Basketball Adidas Next Generation Tournament, now called Adidas NextGen EuroLeague.
