CSKA Moscow coach Dimitris Itoudis has been in talks with the Slovenian Basketball Federation to take over the head coaching role for the Olympic qualifiers, according to Mundo Deportivo and Sanja Modric of 24ur.
Itoudis has a contract with CSKA until June 2021, so, the coach will need permission from the club to seal the deal with the Slovenian national team.
The pre-Olympic tournament in Kaunas, Lithuania will take place on June 23-28 and Slovenia will play in Group B against Poland and Angola. In Group A play Lithuania, South Korea and Venezuela
