The International Olympic Committee is targeting July 23, 2021, as the possible opening date for the 2021 Tokyo Summer Olympics, as reported by New York Times’ Tariq Panja.
The IOC had earlier stated that a decision will be coming in the next four weeks, though an official announcement could be made much earlier than the initial timeline according to the report.
Bearing in mind that Euro 2020 was also postponed for June 2021, the reported date for the Tokyo Olympics opening seems to be a plausible one, and more details (concerning also the Olympic Qualifying Tournaments) should be disclosed soon.
