Juancho Hernangomez will not be able to play in the upcoming Olympic Games as it was officially announced by the Spanish basketball federation.
According to the press release: “At this time, the Federation medical staff works in permanent contact with the Minnesota Timberwolves, Hernangomez’s NBA franchise, to decide the treatment or to continue.
The FEB regrets this unfortunate injury, which cast a shadow on the victory against the French National Team. At this time, the only concern of all parties is the health of the player and that he recovers as quickly and satisfactorily as possible and to return with all his strength to the courts”.
The Timberwolves added in their own official press release: “We are aware of the left shoulder injury suffered by Juancho Hernangómez while playing with the Spanish National Team. We are evaluating all information and will provide an update when available.”
