Besides Nigeria’s historic upset over Team USA, another greatly fun prep game was played out last night with Australia beating Argentina despite, as always, a big performance by Luis Scola.
Patty Mills was the hero of the game, leading Australia with 17 points including the buzzer-beater from deep to give his team an 87-84 win. Joe Ingles followed with 16 and Matisse Thybulle with 15. Aaron Baynes had 14 points and eight rebounds.
For Argentina, Scola went for game-high 25 points while adding eight rebounds. Facundo Campazzo scored 12 and Luca Vildoza 11 points.
