Steph Curry has won everything he can win in his career…. except for an Olympic gold.

NBA superstar Steph Curry won’t be playing in the upcoming FIBA World Cup but he may join Team USA and his Golden State Warriors coach Steve Kerr in the 2024 Olympic Games. The four-time NBA champion and nine-time All-Star will likely take his final decision on the matter when the next season will be over.

“That’s the one piece of the resume that coach [Steve Kerr] always likes to joke that I don’t have,” Curry said while talking to ESPN’s NBA Today, fresh from winning the American Century Championship celebrity golf tournament. “He’s already kind of recruiting for next summer. I’m rooting for the guys now who are going to play in the World Cup. I know they’ll represent USA well and take home the gold. I have no idea what the next summer will look like. It obviously is an extra bonus that coach Kerr is leading that charge. I love to play for him any day of the week. We’ll see how it goes come summer of 2024.

Curry had previously expressed his willingness to gear up for Team USA in Paris since, indeed, the one thing that’s missing in his career is an Olympic distinction. He’s won all NBA accolades there is to win and was crowned world champion with his national team in 2010 and 2014 but hasn’t managed to play in any Olympic tournament due to either resting reasons or injury problems.

In 2022 and during the Warriors‘ championship parade, Curry had joked about Kerr teasing him to join him in the Olympics and finally manage to have… a complete resume.
