Dragging Anadolu Efes – alongside his long-time backcourt partner Shane Larkin – with a 21-point performance to the 89-82 away win over AS Monaco, Rodrigue Beaubois officially declared his availability to play in the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris, potentially marking his debut with the French national team after years in which he has never represented his country.
Talking to SKWEEK TV after the on-the-road win against Sasa Obradovic‘s team, the 32-year-old shooting guard sent a message to Vincent Collet. “It’s a long season, we have a lot of talent in France, so the coach has choices. If I am one of them this summer, I am saying it now, I am in. If things go well, I’m officially in”, the former Baskonia player said in the aftermath.
In his 6th season with the Turkish team – where he won the EuroLeague in back-to-back fashion -, the French player has been averaging 11.8 points, 2.6 rebounds, and 2.4 assists per game, shooting 60.0% from two, and 41.2% from beyond the arc.
