The list features Milwaukee Bucks‘ Danilo Gallinari, but notable absences include Simone Fontecchio and Gabriele Procida due to injuries. John Petrucelli and Grant Basile are in contention for the naturalized player spot.

The squad will be trimmed to 18 players on June 6. These players will train in Trento from June 9 to 13 to begin building the team for San Juan. The training camp will continue in Folgaria from June 14 to 21.

Italy will play two friendly matches before heading to Puerto Rico: against Georgia in Trento on June 23 and against Spain in Madrid on June 25.

Italian national team is in Group B for the OQT, facing host Puerto Rico and Bahrain.
