Caitlin Clark to be left off Team USA’s roster for the Olympic Games

After stealing everybody’s attention with Iowa in the NCAA and in his first weeks in the WNBA with the Indiana Fever, Caitlin Clark hasn’t reportedly been included in Team USA’s 12-player roster for the upcoming Olympic Games in Paris.

According to The Athletic’s Shams Charania, the 22-year-old shooting specialist won’t travel to France for her first-ever International appointment representing the US. She has been averaging 16.8 points, 5.3 rebounds, and 6.3 assists per game.

Team USA’s Women’s Basketball roster should include A’ja Wilson, Breanna Stewart, Diana Taurasi, Brittney Griner, Alyssa Thomas, Napheesa Collier, Jewell Loyd, Kelsey Plum, Jackie Young, Sabrina Ionescu, Chelsea Gray, and Kahleah Copper, according to Shams Charania.

Cameron Brink, the No.2 overall pick in the 2024 WNBA Draft and upcoming superstar of the Los Angeles Sparks has been included in Team USA’s 3×3 roster for the Olympics in Paris.

In the past, Caitlin Clark has participated with Team US in the 2017 FIBA U16 Women’s Americas Championship, and in both the 2019 and 2021 FIBA U19 Women’s Basketball World Cups.
