Fenerbahce Beko guard Raul Neto played his first game after 10 months in a 91 – 75 prep win for Brazil over Poland ahead of the Olympic Games Qualifiers. The 32-year-old player had been out since August 2023 with a patellar tendon rupture he suffered in the World Cup.

“Very happy to be back, to play my first game after the injury,” said Neto per the Brazilian Basketball Federation. He finished the game with 2 points. “Only those close to me know everything I’ve been through. So, being able to come back, play well, and help, is great. Now we have to keep improving to try to secure our Olympic spot.”
Bruno Caboclo led Brazil with 21 points while Maozinha Pereira had 18 points and 12 rebounds in the game that took place in Opatija, Croatia. It was the first friendly match for Brazil during the Olympic Qualifiers training camp.
Mateusz Ponitka stood out from Poland with 19 points. His team played its second preparation game, having lost to Greece last week.
