Mario Hezonja erupted for an astonishing 39-point performance, leading his country to such friendly game victory, followed by Dario Saric’s 20 points, 9 rebounds, and 6 assists. Bruno Caboclo’s 16 points and 6 rebounds weren’t enough for Brazil.

Putting an end to his controversial contract situation, the 29-year-old forward publicly made clear that he intends to continue playing for Real Madrid in the following seasons. According to Shams Charania, however, there’s still an NBA out clause in the agreement until July 19.

Croatia made it to this year’s FIBA OQT in Piraeus, where they will face Slovenia and New Zealand first, thanks to the victory on the road in Turkey in the FIBA Olympic Pre-Qualifying Tournament. In that competition, Mario Hezonja averaged 15.6 points per game.

Moving from Greece to Latvia, the Brazilian national team is set to participate in Riga’s OQT, facing Montenegro and Cameroon in Group B. Latvia, Georgia, and the Philippines will complete the picture in Group A.
