Called up by head coach Vassilis Spanoulis for the FIBA OQT in Piraeus, set to bring Greece to the Olympic Games while going through powerhouses like Slovenia and Croatia after eventually overcoming the Dominican Republic and Egypt, he has now made his complete return and will come back to the court.

The Greek Freak has been out for 78 days, since when he injured his calf strain on April 9. Since then, he wasn’t able to help the Milwaukee Bucks in their post-season run, losing to the Indiana Pacers in the First Round of the NBA Playoffs.

Before ending his season earlier than expected, the two-time NBA MVP was averaging 30.4 points, 11.5 rebounds, and 5.5 assists in the 2023-24 season.

With Greece, he last played at the 2022 FIBA EuroBasket, failing to bring his country back to the podium while averaging 29.3 points, 8.8 rebounds, and 4.7 assists per game; in three appearances at the 2023 FIBA World Cup European Qualifiers, he put up 33.0 points and 7.5 rebounds per game.
