Spain saw Brown coming back to the team and 18-year-old guard Sergio De Larrea making his senior squad debut with seven points. Guard Juan Nunez and swingman Alex Abrines were out.
Chris Duarte’s 27 points (6-12 triples) weren’t enough for the Dominican side that was without superstar Karl-Anthony Towns.
This was the last match for both teams before the Olympic Qualifiers that begin on July 2. Spain will host one of the tournaments while the Dominican team will compete in Piraeus, Greece.
Meanwhile, in Katowice, Poland defeated New Zealand 88 – 59 behind 29 points by Mateusz Ponitka.
