“We initially worked very hard in Wroclaw and played five friendly games,” the Poland head coach referred to prep games against the Philippines, New Zealand, Brazil, Croatia, and Greece over the past ten days, “I am convinced that this effort will speak for us. We are on the same page, ready tactically, and most importantly, we are not dealing with injuries.”

Poland was drawn with host Spain, Angola, the Bahamas, Finland, and Lebanon in the OQT in Valencia. The top-ranked country will advance to the Olympic Games, joining Australia, Canada, and the winner of the OQT in Greece in Group A of the Olympic basketball tournament.

In Group B of the preliminary round, Poland faces the Bahamas on Wednesday and Finland on Thursday. Possibly reaching the Semifinals would create a fixture next Saturday and an opportunity to compete in the Final next Sunday.
