Spain made a 6 – 0 run in the last minute against Argentina to grab a 76 – 72 win in its second-to-last preparation game before the Olympic Games.
With Argentina up 70 – 72, Willy Hernangomez scored a basket and Xabi Lopez-Arostegui had 4 out of 4 free throws to give Spain the victory.
Santi Aldama had 14 points and six rebounds for Spain. Hernangomez posted 13 points plus nine rebounds in his 100th appearance with the senior national team and Sergio Llull dropped 13 points and dished out five assists.
Llull also hit one of his trademark buzzer beaters to close the first half.

Juan Fernandez led Argentina’s scorers with 13 points. Nicolas Brussino finished with 10 points and seven rebounds while Facu Campazzo notched seven points and six assists against some of his Real Madrid teammates.
