With five players scoring in double figures and a strong defensive output, Serbia beat Greece 94 – 72 in a friendly game that took place in Belgrade. It was the last preparation match for both national teams before the Olympic Games.

Bogdan Bogdanovic scored a game-high 19 points on 5-5 triples. Nikola Jokic contributed 16 points, eight rebounds, and six assists while Filip Petrusev provided 15 points and eight rebounds.

Their team dominated their opponents 37 – 22, something that was emphasized as a key factor in the game by Greece coach Vassilis Spanoulis.

Giannis Antetokounmpo led Greece 17 points, grabbed five rebounds, and dished out four assists as his team suffered its first loss under Spanoulis after 10 straight wins. Kostas Papanikolaou scored 10 points for the Greek side which missed veteran point guard Nick Calathes.

With Kostas Antetokounmpo out of the Greek team due to injury, Spanoulis announced that power forward Nikos Chougaz will be the 12th player on the Greek roster for the Olympics.
