On the other hand, Spain beat Puerto Rico 63-62 thanks to two free throws by Laura Gil, just one second before the final buzzer.
Arella Guirantes had one last shot to win it for Puerto Rico, but couldn’t.
After this results, Spain (2-0) and Serbia (2-0) have qualified for the quarterfinals, while Puerto Rico (0-4) faces China (0-4).
Because Puerto Rico has just a -4 point difference, there’s a good chance that they will end up also qualifying being one of the best third-placed teams on the group stage, if they beat China (-23).
