Coming off the bench thus far in his fourth Olympic Games appearance, Kevin Durant is now expected to make an impact for USA Basketball straight from the tip-off, starting for his country.

According to The Athletic, the 35-year-old forward is set to start in the Olympic Games final against France, scheduled for tonight at 21:30 CET in Paris. Therefore, Jrue Holiday will begin the game from the bench.

Beginning the Olympic Games with a stunning 23-point night over 8/9 from the field against Serbia, the Phoenix Suns superstar continued to make an impact down the line for Steve Kerr’s team.

Over his five appearances against South Sudan, Puerto Rico, Brazil, and Serbia (twice), the 35-year-old small forward has been averaging 13.6 points, 3.0 rebounds, and 2.0 assists per game in Paris 2024.

Kevin Durant is currently running for a historic achievement, as he would become the first player in men’s basketball history to win four gold medals at the Olympic Games. Right now, he is tied with Carmelo Anthony with three Olympic gold medals won representing the United States of America.
