Celebrating his second-ever Olympic medal after winning the silver hardware in the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro 2016, Nikola Jokic wrote history in the bronze medal match against Germany.

While also dragging his national team to the 3rd step of the podium in the most anticipated competition of the summer, the Denver Nuggets and Serbian national team superstar recorded the 5th ever triple-double in the five-interlaced rings tournament.

Ending the winning encounter with 19 points, 11 rebounds, and 11 assists against the World Champions, Nikola Jokic managed to join an elite company composed of only three other players.

It’s the case of LeBron James, who recently became the only player in history capable of recording a second triple-double at the Olympics with 16 points, 12 rebounds, and 10 assists over Serbia in the Semi-Finals, Luka Doncic in 2021, and Alexander Belov in 1976.

Before the third-place final against the German national team, Serbia’s unique superstar was averaging 18.8 points, 10.4 rebounds, and 8.2 assists per game while shooting 69.4% from two-point range.
