PARIS, France –The end of the Olympics meant also the end of the road with the national team of two French legends.

Both announced after the end of the game, that this was their last game.

Nando De Colo, who has won a Eurobasket gold, two silver medals in the Olympics, a Eurobasket silver, a Eurobasket bronze, and a FIBA World Cup bronze talked about his last tournament and the chance he had to win Olympic gold: “I tried to do my best. But it’s the team that counts, everyone did their part of the work during this adventure. I’ve had some good groups, but one like the one this summer, I don’t know. It’s great to have finished with that one.”

Captain Nicolas Batum who had won one more medal, a second FIBA World Cup bronze, was present in the post-game press conference and he added: “After 15 years in this team, it’s time for me to leave my spot to the younger generation”.
