As expected, the 2024 Paris Olympic final will be Nando De Colo’s last game for the French national team.

Following coach Vincent Collet and teammate Nicolas Batum, De Colo retires with a full list of achievements, including two Olympic silver medals (2021, 2024), a World Cup bronze (2019), and a European championship title (2013). He amassed 209 caps (7th all-time) and 2,194 points (9th).

The ASVEL player made his retirement official via social media:

One day, you are selected for the French National Team, you wear this blue jersey that inspires dreams, and you wish for only one thing: success. When the adventure ends, you hope to say you were there, leaving your mark forever in the history of this team.

From my beginnings in 2008 to the Paris 2024 Olympics and this silver medal, along with a European Championship title, I accepted various roles to serve the team and achieve our collective goals.

My journey in blue wasn’t all smooth, but if I had to do it again, I’d do it with my eyes closed because my basketball career wouldn’t have been as fulfilling without these medals with the French National Team,” De Colo wrote.
