The captain of the Serbian national team, Milos Teodosic, had a bad shooting night (2/11 FG) but also dished 10 assists in the quarterfinal game against Croatia which ended up being decided in the free throws line.
As he said after the game: “It seems that there must always have some drama. This is not sweeter, no matter the way we got the win. I have not slept for two days before the quarterfinals against Croatia. We were a little nervous dyring the entire match, except for the third quarter when we played in our rhythm. At the end it was a great victory”.
For the upcoming semifinal he added: “We have to face Australia and we have a good chance. We know that we can play them. I think that only China and we are the only teams with only one NBA player in our roster and this certainly says something. Australians are the favorites, but we will fight until the end”.
