Three NBA champions with the Los Angeles Lakers will have a special reunion on Thursday night at “SEF” stadium of Piraeus in the game of Olympiacos against Anadolu Efes. The new center of defending Euroleague champion Olympiacos, Josh Powell, will be the host of his ex-teammates in LA, Jordan Farmar and Sasha Vujacic. All of them won two titles in a row (2009, 2010).

Powell talked about his well-known opponents to Eurohoops just before Olympiacos last practice. “I just think to have a good match. It would be very fun and exciting. I’m looking forward to see these guys. It’s a pretty big game for us and I’m focused on that”, he said and added that he haven’t contact them after his decision to join the Greek team. “No, I haven’t spoken with them”.

And as a former Laker, it was impossible for Powell not to be asked about his opinion for the choice of his old team between Phil Jackson and Mike D’Antoni: “I played under Phil and he’s the only one I know. But I wish Lakers and Mike D’Antoni to make their best to succeed”.
