Ukraine is hosting the next Eurobasket in 2015 and already the team of coach Fratello already proved that can be a factor in the competition. To be exact Ukraine can even get to the semifinals if it beats Croatia.
It’s not easy, but Pooh Jeter is ready for the challenge: “Now it’s the time to really play that game. We are here now, there is no looking back, we are going against a team that has seven wins in a row and we just have to be ready to fight, to listen to our coaches game plan and really perfect it”
The naturalized point guard believed in his team and it remains to be seen what Ukraine can achieve in Slovenia: “Sure, I did! Everybody else didn’t, but I believed. Once we got into this situation and got to the first round and the second round I believed and then we all believed and that’s why we are here. We worked hard and we have to continue to show why we are here”.
What makes this team special? “Our biggest strength is our toughness and staying together. That’s what our strength is now. We are playing together, we are working hard to be the best that we can be. If we continue to play together, the sky is the limit”.
As for his future, Pooh confirmed that he will travel to China where he has a contract with Shandong Gold Lions, but he has a good way to stay in touch with the old continent: “I follow Eurohoops!”
