Lasme: “I love PΑΟ, but if I’m not wanted…”

Stephane Lasme signed with Panathinaikos on late September 2012 and impressed everyone by leading his team alongside with James Gist in the front line to the Greek double. Last summer he signed a new contract for the two seasons(1+1 with team option). The Greens won the second double in a row and the Gabonese center was once again one of the heroes of his team.

Although Panathinaikos used the opt-out option of his contract and released him four days ago, his Greek agent, Marios Olympios admitted on SentraFM that he’s on negotiations with the Greens for a new contract.

But now Stephane Lasme talks on Eurohoops for the first time on that issue: “I loved playing for PAO the last two years. The fans are amazing and people in the organization were great to me. But if I’m not wanted I will take my talent to somewhere where I am”.

According to rumors from Athens, Panathinaikos offers to Lasme a little more than half of the money he would receive according to the previous deal for next season.
