DeMarcus Nelson spent two years in Belgrade playing with Red Star and a little before the start of the season with Panathinaikos, he thanks through Eurohoops his ex team, the fans and all the people in Serbia.
“I just want to say hi to my Red Star fans out there”, he said during the media day of Panathinaikos. “I know the team is preparation, I know that they are going to get ready for the season. I just want you guys to know that you will always be on my heart. I enjoyed every moment I had with you guys the last two seasons. They were two amazing seasons”.
The memories from Belgrade are staying with him for life: “It’s not only about basketball. I enjoyed my time there, the love I got. I felt great and I wouldn’t love it and enjoy it that much, if I didn’t have the fans there. They are just great people in that city, making me feel comfortable. I just want to say thanks a lot and I will see you guys soon”.
