The next step of the career of Andreas Glyniadakis after winning the Euroleague will be BC Astana at Kazakhstan! The Greek center has already signed a contract for next season, he is leaving Olympiacos and he spoke to Eurohoops.net about the next chapter of his career.

“Just after the end of the season I got this offer. It’s an amazing financial offer and there was a time limit for my answer. I said yes and I am happy for this new experience that awaits me”, said Glyniadakis and explains his decision.

“The conditions in Greece for every basketball professional are getting worse year by year. That’s why many players and coaches decide to continue their career abroad. The same thing happened with me. BC Astana gave me two very important conditions, a very good contract and guaranteed playing time. After the end of next season I will say how things will play out and I will take my decisions concerning my career”.

What a 31 years old player (who had also been in the NBA as a member of the Seatlle Supersonics in 2006-07 season) is expecting to find in Kazakhstan: “That’s the interesting part. My team will compete in VTB League, that will be even stronger next season, and probably in Eurochallenge too. BC Astana will start playing in its domestic championship in the playoffs. It’s a very ambitious organization and they want to emerge as a new power in Europe. That’s interesting enough for me and that’s why I signed the contract”.

BC Astana also signed on Monday American center David Simon who finished the season in Serbian club Radnicki.
