Zalgiris suffered their first loss this season – after 16 wins – in the Lithuanian League last week but bounced back this time around with an 89-84 home win against Nevezis.
Rokas Jokubaitis, Karolis Lukosiunas and Edgaras Ulanovas led the scorers with 12 points each while for Nevezis, Laurynas Beliauskas banked 28 and Viny Okouo 17 points.
Zalgiris was up 22-17 after the first quarter and increased the gap to 54-42 at halftime. It seemed as though Zalgiris will get the job done routinely but Nevezis made the big comeback. However, although they cut the gap to just three points (87-84) near the end, Zalgiris managed to hold them off for the win.
