Siauliai defeated Zalgiris Kaunas on the road with a narrow 86-83 victory in Round 19 of the Lithuanian LKL. This marks Zalgiris‘ second loss of the season in the domestic league, while it’s also its second one in three games.
Evaldas Saulys led Siauliai with a game-high performance of 20 points. On the other end of the court, Arturas Milaknis tried to save the day for the home team and finished the game with 18 points, while Zach LeDay contributed 17 points.
The visiting side pulled away with a 10-point lead and less than two minutes in the game. Zalgiris managed to cover the deficit shortly to just four points, though time was on Siauliai’s side, which sealed off its victory with Justas Furmanavicius on the free-throw line with six seconds remaining.
