Once more Zalgiris Kaunas proved that they are the team to beat in Lithuania, by getting the 71-61 win over Rytas Vilnius.
Arturas Milaknis (17 p.), Edgaras Ulanovas (16 p.), Paulius Jankunas (12 p., 6 r.) were the top scorers of the winners who thanks to a 16-0 run in the second period got a solid lead and never looked back.
Rytas didn’t give up and tried to stay close until the end, but Zalgiris was clearly the better team on the way to a 18-2 record.
Rytas and Lietkabelis are tied in the second spot of the standings with a 13-7 record.
