Zalgiris Kaunas’ Estonian guard Ker Kriisa has committed to playing college basketball for the Arizona Wildcats, the player told ESPN.
Kriisa, 19, has been a member of Zalgiris Kaunas since 2018. The young prospect averaged 14.8 points and 6.0 assists in NKL (Lithuania’s second division championship) with Zalgiris-2 this season. In October, Kriisa made his EuroLeague debut, playing two minutes in a win over ASVEL.
He was also the MVP of the Adidas Next Generation Tournament of 2019.
“Year after year, I started to follow college basketball more closely and realized I could be effective there also. It’s a completely different style of basketball, but I believe it can be good for me to challenge myself,” Kriisa said to ESPN.
