Maccabi Tel Aviv announced that it will hold an inquiry into Angelo Caloiaro and Sandy Cohen being shown to be breaking the quarantine rules of the Israeli Winner League ahead of the season resumption.
Photos of Caloiaro and Cohen showing the two players being outdoors, despite the league rules that players should stay in confinement, appeared in Israeli media Friday (5/6). Maccabi captain Omri Casspi characterized these rules of the quarantine as “inhumane.”
Maccabi said that all players must “obey the guidelines and abide by the rules of isolating themselves.” Caloiaro and Cohen are subject to a number of sanctions, including fines and/or suspension.
