Hapoel Tel Aviv announced that guard Jordan Davis and forward Jordan Hamilton will be tested for coronavirus Sunday morning (28/6).

The two players felt unwell and were examined by the team physician. At the conclusion of the examination, it was decided that they should undergo testing for coronavirus on Sunday morning.

Davis and Hamilton played 33 and 18 minutes respectively in the 82 – 81 loss to Gilboa Galil Friday (26/6).

The Israeli Winner League had imposed strict confinement measures to prevent coronavirus contamination. According to the rules, players weren’t allowed to leave their homes, apart from team activities (practices and games). There was a recent modification, allowing players to venture to a distance up to 100 meters far from their homes.

The confinement rules, along with the fact that there hasn’t been any mandatory testing for players and team personnel, have been heavily criticized by numerous players, including Maccabi Tel Aviv star Omri Casspi.
