The basketball community is mourning the sudden death of Andre Spencer who was only 56. No additional information regarding the cause of his death is yet known.
As a player made it to the Israeli League finals in 1991 with Maccabi Rishon LeZion. His other campaigns in Israel included Hapoel Tel Aviv, Ironi Ramat Gan, and his retiring season with Hapoel Afula. Spencer also played in France for JDA Dijon.
His brief NBA career featured 48 appearances between the Atlanta Hawks, Golden State Warriors, and Sacramento Kings. He went on to coach junior teams in the USA in recent years.
