The Lithuanian derby stands out in this week’s LKL action, with Zalgiris making short work of Rytas Vilnius to stay on top of the standings and expand its record to 9-1.
Pieno Zvaigzdes – Siauliai 87 – 64
Edgaras Zielonis posted a monster double-double of 22 points and 13 rebounds to lead Pieno past Siauliai. Paulius Petrilevicius added 19 points.
Elvar Mar Fridriksson had 15 points for the visiting squad.
Neptunas Klaipeda – Lietkabelis 80 – 90
Lietkabelis defeated Neptunas on the road behind Gytis Masiulis’ 22 points and seven rebounds. Benas Griciunas (17 points, seven assists) was the top contributor for Nepuntas.
Zalgiris Kaunas – Rytas Vilnius 92-45
Lukas Lekavicius paced Martin Schiller’s squad to an easy win with 17 points, Marius Grigonis tapped 14 points, Rokas Jokubaitis added 11 and Marek Blazevic posted 10.
Short-staffed Rytas had only Martynas Echodas scoring in double digits with 10 points.
