Dragan Bender led the way for Maccabi Tel Aviv as they got a road win in the tough low-scoring affair against Ness Ziona in Round 7 of the Israeli League

With the schedule being somewhat irregular this season in the Israeli League, Round 7 has been almost played out fully. Hapoel Jerusalem holds a 5-0 record at the top of the standings followed by Gilboa Galil with 6-1 and Maccabi Tel Aviv with 5-1.

Hapoel Eilat – Hapoel Jerusalem 79-100

Chris Kramer registered 20 points and pulled down eight rebounds pushing the winning side to a 5-0 start. Casey Prather posted a 21-point, 12-rebound double-double for the hosts.

Hapoel Haifa – Maccabi Rishon 85-84

The hosts clinched the victory in the final moments of the game, led by Keenan Evans’ 23 points. Amit Simhon tapped 19 points and Jason Siggers had 16 points.

Isaiah Taylor paced the visitors with 24 points and Trey Lewis added 23 points.

Hapoel Beer Sheva  – Hapoel Tel Aviv 88-75

Caleb Agada’s 27-point performance sealed the victory for the home team that grabbed its second one in a row. Bar Timor had 18 points for the visitors, while Gabe York tapped 14.

Bnei Herzeliya – Gilboa Galil 89-95

Bnei Herzliya stayed winless so far this season and Gilboa Galil was the one to hand them the latest loss, led by Jehyve Floyd who scored 20 points on 9-10 shooting. Kerry Blackshear Jr.added 15 points, nine rebounds and five assists while also drawing ten fouls.

For the hosts, Coty Clarke had 21 points and 12 rebounds in addition to Frank Gaines’s 17 points.

Ness Ziona – Maccabi Tel Aviv 58-65

Maccabi prevailed in a tough low-scoring affair against Ness Ziona, and it was Dragan Bender leading the way wth 19 points and 11 rebounds. Tyler Dorsey added 16 and Ante Zizic 12 points. Zizic also grabbed nine boards.

For Ness Ziona, Kwan Cheatham Jr. and Tal Dunne scored 12 points each.

Hapoel Holon – Maccabi Haifa 105-69

Chris Johnson had 22 points in Holon’s convincing display followed by Frederic Bourdillon’s 17 and Oded Brandwein’s 13 points. Guy Pnini scored 13 as well.

For Haifa, Donta Smith scored 15 and Michael Brisker 14 points.
