Maccabi Tel Aviv edged Hapoel Holon with an 87-85 win in overtime to return to the Israeli Cup final for the first time since the 2017-18 season when Holon won the trophy.
Holon was in charge throughout a game though a late run by Maccabi erased a 17-point deficit and evened the score to 72 points, pushing the game to overtime, where Giannis Sfairopoulos’ squad took charge.
Oz Blayzer paced the winners with 19 points, Scottie Wilbekin had 14 and Yovel Zoosman added 13 points and 8 rebounds.
Earlier on Thursday, Maccabi Rishon grabbed its ticket to the final after beating Hapoel Jerusalem 90-84. Golan Gutt posted 22 points to help his team grab the victory and Akil Mitchell added 16 points and 8 rebounds.
