Maccabi Tel Aviv bounced back to form after a disappointing EuroLeague loss by defeating Ness Ziona 96 – 74 at home for Round 20 of the Israeli Winner League regular season. The “Yellows” improved to 15 – 3 with this win to stay at the top of the standings.
Scottie Wilbekin (16 points, seven assists), Tyler Dorsey (14 points), Chris Jones (13 points) and Dragan Bender (12 points, eight rebounds) led the charge for Maccabi that dominated the third period after a balanced first half to establish its hold on the match. Maccabi had 1,000 fans in Menora Mivtachim arena for the first time in the coronavirus era.
Patrick Miller scored 22 points and had six steals while Wayne Sheldern finished with 21 points for Ness Ziona that dropped to 8 – 8.
