Hapoel Unet-Credit Holon signed Nate Sestina for the remainder of the 2020-21 season, the Israeli team announced Monday. His contract includes an option for the 2021-22 season.
Sestina, 23, went undrafted coming out of Kentucky. However, he joined the Brooklyn Nets on an Exhibit 10 contract and went on to the Long Island Nets averaging 7.7 points and 2.7 rebounds per G League game in the Florida bubble.
The young big is not eligible for the Basketball Champions League with his new team 2-0 in the Round of 16 group stage. He will instead compete in Israel’s Winner League meeting Stefanos Dedas’ side at 9-6 and sixth place overall.
