Maccabi Playtika Tel Aviv has had its ups and downs this season and another down happened in the Israeli League as Hapoel Gilboa Galil handed them an 85-78 loss.
Netanel Arzi and Joe Thomasson led the way with 15 points each while Kerry Blackshear Jr added 13 and Yotam Hanochi ten points. Blackshear also grabbed eight rebounds.
For Maccabi, Scottie Wilbekin scored 22 points followed by Tyler Dorsey with 17 and Othello Hunter with 14 points. Elijah Bryant scored 12.
With this win, Gilboa Galil improved to 15-7 and remained at the third spot in the standings, chasing the second-placed Hapoel Eliat (16-6) while Maccabi stayed safe at the top with 18-4.
