LKL League leaders Zalgiris Kaunas started its quarterfinals run against Pieno Zvaigzdes with an 81-74 victory at home. After a fairly dominant presence of the hosts for three quarter, the visitors enjoyed a 19-8 point run in the fourth, though it wasn’t enough to upset Zalgiris in the end.
Multiple scorers finished the game in double digits for Martin Schiller’s squad, as Marius Grigonis led the way with 16 points, 3 rebounds, Joffrey Lauvergne posted 14 points and 8 rebounds, while Lukas Lekavicius also had 14 points and Thomas Walkup added 11.
Karolis Giedraitis posted a game-high of 19 points for the visitors, while Paulius Petrilevicius and Edgaras Zelionis had 14 points each.
