Janis Blums announced his decision to retire on Monday.
“Reading announcements of professional athletes about ending their careers, I always wondered what makes an athlete realize his professional career has ended. I clearly know now that there will never be enough basketball in my life. In this story, I have had enough of professional basketball and I have to be able to accept it. I am trying. Today, I ended my career as a professional basketball player,” he wrote.
