The Israeli Winner League announced the tragic news of Daniel Sasson passing away at the age of 28.
Sasson succumbed to injuries sustained almost a year ago in an accident in Galilee. He was hospitalized after getting hit by a car while riding a bicycle and put into a medically induced coma.
Sasson played in the Israeli League between 2018 and 2021, wearing the jerseys of Hapoel Tel Aviv, Hapoel Holon, and Hapoel Gilboa Galil.
All teams of the Israeli League offered their condolences and the upcoming games will hold a minute of silence before the tip-off.
