Hapoel Jerusalem has signed veteran guard/forward KC Rivers to a deal for the remainder of the season, the club announced Tuesday.

Rivers, 34, parted ways with FC Bayern Munich late in January after joining the team in December 2021 and appeared in six EuroLeague contests with the German club while posting an average of 6.1 points across 16 minutes on the floor.

A 2015 EuroLeague champion with Real Madrid, Rivers brings in experience to the Israeli club ahead of the Winner League playoffs. Hapoel is currently placed first in the standings, with an 11-5 record and will next face third-placed Bnei Herzliya on March 7.

This will be Rivers’ first experience in Israel since he landed in Europe with Treviso in 2009. Since, he has played for Virtus Bologna, Lokomotiv Kuban, Khimki, Real Madrid, Panathinaikos, Crvena Zvezda, Zalgiris and Zenit, among other teams.
