Maccabi Tel Aviv registered its eighth consecutive win over all competitions by beating Gilboa Galil 84 – 61 at home in a postponed game for Round 17 of the Israeli Winner League regular season. The Yellows improved to 15 – 7 and are second in the standings.
The trio of James Nunnally (16 points), Roman Sorkin (15 points) and John Dibartolomeo (10 points) paced Maccabi in scoring. Their team entered the game hot to close the first period 32 – 19 and kept dominating to close halftime up 52 – 24 despite the absence of main scorer Scottie Wilbekin (rest). Gilboa Galil balanced things out a bit but didn’t manage to make any turnaround.
Tyus Battle had 13 points and Sacha Killeya-Jones scored 10 for Gilboa Galil that dropped to 11-11 and the sixth spot.
