Maccabi Tel Aviv closed the series against Hapoel Tel Aviv with 3-1 thanks to an 82-77 road win in Game 4. Scottie Wilbekin and Derrick Williams were the stars of the show, combining for a total of 53 points.
Wilbekin banked in 28 while Williams scored 25 points and grabbed nine rebounds. Roman Sorkin was the only double-digit scorer of Maccabi beside them with ten points.
On the opposing side, J’Covan Brown scored 23 points in addition to Idan Zalmanson’s 17 and JP Tokoto’s 13 points.
Hapoel put up a big fight and was actually up by as much as 16 points in the second quarter (37-21). However, Wilbekin and Williams sparked a comeback for Maccabi, finishing the game with five three-pointers each.
Maccabi took over the lead in the third quarter and with a 14-4 run soon after, created the crucial advantage that helped them seal the game fairly comfortably, although Hapoel still had a slim chance near the end.
