Dwight Howard has been getting a lot of media attention playing in Taiwan for Taoyuan Leopards, but his adventure could continue in Venezuela next summer.
As Cancha Latina reported, the Venezuelan club Guaros de Lara is interested in bringing the former NBA star for the upcoming 2023 season.
The Venezuelan league is currently in the offseason, and apparently, the big plan is to sign Howard for the new season that starts in July.
Even though it would be a coup for Guaros de Lara to bring a player of such caliber and resume, Howard wouldn’t be the first basketball star associated with the Venezuelan team since that was the case with Nate Robinson, Smush Parker, Damien Wilkins, and even Allen Iverson who was previously connected with the team, but eventually didn’t wore their uniform.
The former center for Orlando, Philadelphia, Houston, or the Lakers is currently having his first experience abroad with the Taoyuan Leopards in the Taiwan T1 League and is averaging 25,6 points, 14,4 rebounds, 6,0 assists, and 1,1 blocks in ten games.
Recently, Howard also became the MVP of the Taiwanese All-Star Game and even participated in a three-point shooting contest.
