Zalgiris did not want to repeat last year’s mistakes against Lietkabels. This time around Zalgiris got the job done in the semifinals 3-1 and they were especially dominant in game 4 which was won without much trouble 95-66.
In the finale in Lithuania, Zalgiris will face a familiar foe, Rytas.
As for game 4, Zalgiris got the job done in the second quarter. Lietkiabels was hanging in after the first 10 minutes as the score was tied (18-18). After that, there was only one team on the court – Zalgiris. With a big run in the second quarter, they were able to get a 44-31 lead which was enough to seal the deal.
Tyler Cavanaugh scored 16 points for the winning side, while Edgaras Ulanovas added 15.
