Suffering for the vast majority of the game on the road in Mažeikiai, Zalgiris Kaunas managed to turn things around with a 28-12 run in the fourth quarter to eventually beat M Basket-Delamode 73-69, staying unbeaten in the LKL domestic league.
Once again, Keenan Evans was essential for his team after dragging the Lithuanian powerhouse to the win against Virtus Bologna. He had 18 points with 5/9 from the field coming off the bench, followed by the team’s captain Edgaras Ulanovas, who scored 15 points.
Alongside Rytas Vilnius, BC Wolves, and Jonava, the green-and-white team leads the LKL standings with a 4-0 record. Next week, they will face Jonava in an unbeaten teams’ clash, while in the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague, Zalgiris Kaunas will host Crvena Zvezda on October 13 at 19:00 CET.
